Supply of 360,000 METRIC TON DAP (Di ammonium phosphate) Soil Fertilizer

  1. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) has allocated foreign currency to be used for the importation of DAP fertilizer by eligible supplier.
  1. The Ethiopian Agricultural Businesses Corporation (EABC), delegated by other domestic fertilizer importers, now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of 360,000 METRIC TON DAP (Di ammonium phosphate) soil fertilizer to be delivered as per the delivery schedule specified section VI in the bid document.
  1. The terms of purchase will read as  
    • FOB price and /or
    • CIF  price
  1. Bidders may bid for one or more or the entire lots specified in the bid document. Price will be negotiated and evaluated on lot-by-lot bases. Contract award for the respective lot will be on the basis of the lowest evaluated, responsive (including responsiveness to the specified delivery period, which is critical) and qualified bidder for that lot. This post qualification assessment also takes into consideration verifying whether the lowest evaluated and responsive bidder has indeed the capability to execute the subject lot together with other lots that it has succeeded to be the lowest evaluated and responsive bidder. If the lowest evaluated and responsive bidder for a lot does not fulfill the qualification requirements as discussed above, then the same post qualification assessment will continue for the second lowest evaluated and responsive bidder for that lot. If the second lowest evaluated and responsive bidder is not qualified, the assessment process continues with the third lowest evaluated and responsive bidder etc.

  1. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by the interested eligible bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 2500 or equivalent in any freely convertible currency in Ethiopian bank.
  1. The Bidder shall furnish in a separate envelop, as part of its bid, a unconditional counter guarantee by Ethiopian bank bid security in US dollars or in a freely convertible currency widely used in Ethiopian Banks equivalent to the amount of 0.5% of a total value of participated lots of DAP fertilizer mentioning the corresponding lot number quoted in its bid.
  1. All bids, must be delivered  at the following address :-

Ethiopian Agricultural Businesses Corporation, Agricultural Inputs Supply Sector  Akaki – Kality Sub – City Wereda 06, On or before  10:00 A.M on October 02/2024  and must be accompanied by the  aforementioned bid  security.

  1. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidder’s representation who choose to attend at 10:30 A.M. on October 02/2024 at the EABC Agricultural Inputs Supply Sector (AISS) assembly hall.
  2. Representatives should submit the letter of representation given by the supplier which should be stamped and sealed.
  1. Ethiopian Agricultural Businesses Corporation (EABC) reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids and to cancel the bid in whole or in part.

Supply of 250,000 METRIC TON GRANNURAL UREA

  1. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) has allocated foreign currency to be used for the importation of Granular UREA by eligible supplier.
  2. The Ethiopian Agricultural Businesses Corporation (EABC), delegated by other domestic fertilizer importers, now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of 250,000 METRIC TON GRANNURAL UREA to be delivered as per the delivery schedule specified section VI in the bid document.
  3. The terms of purchase will read as
